EN: Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words to describe the emotional interaction that I have with the characters in my photos. Every time I approach them to find the beauty that I need and which they feel desire to be expressed.
Beyond the masks there is a realm of genuine feelings, a realm of truth. When I get there I feel alive and blessed.
This time Cristina and Andrew were my partners in sharing this beauty. I knew Cristina from long discussions that we had over the course of a year. During this time I understood their expectations regarding the photos. I knew almost nothing about Andrew. I discovered a few days before the wedding that he is English and the morning of the wedding I met with them and their families.
On that morning I saw the two families interact. The joy and excitement included both camps and the non verbal communication worked perfectly. Then followed preparation of the bride. During the make-up session I had time to highlight Cristina’s beauty. Wouldn’t you agree that is some English spirit in her eyes?
Denisa was the emotional and logistical support of the day. Thanks Denisa!
The religious ceremony was special in its bilingual character. I hope it was enjoyable for the British guests. It was my first participation in an Orthodox religious ceremony conducted both in Romanian and English. I would have liked more time for photo shoots, but I’m delighted with the results.
The party was held at Casa Capsa – one of the emblematic places of the city. Established in 1852, Casa Capsa is the symbol of Romanian “high life” society. The hotel has retained its historical charm even its restauration. It‘s a sumptuous location with chrystal sparkling chandeliers and baroque furniture. The party started with authentic folk dances. The Day family also joined the dance. Ionela and her colleagues very successfully started a night of dancing and good vibes. I was pleasantly surprised by the willingness of Andrew’s guests to join in with the Romanian folk dancing. Cristina, Denisa and Costi were at the forefront of the battle on the dance floor. Toward the end members of both cultures were in a perfect symbiosis.
I had a wonderful time with them. Congratulations!

RO: Uneori este greu să găsesc cuvintele potrivite şi suficiente pentru a descrie interacţiunea emoţională cu personajele din fotografiile mele. De fiecare dată mă apropii pentru a găsi frumuseţea de care am nevoie şi pe care simt că ele o doresc a fi exprimată.
Dincolo de măştile cotidiene există un tărâm al trăirilor autentice, un tărâm al adevărului. Când ajung acolo mă simt viu şi binecuvântat.
De aceasta dată Cristina şi Andrew au fost partenerii mei în a imparti frumuseţea. Pe Cristina o cunoşteam din lungile discuţii pe care le-am purtat de-a lungul unui an. În acest timp eu am înteles aşteptările pe care le are în ceea ce priveşte fotografia. Despre Andrew nu ştiam aproape nimic. Am descoperit cu câteva zile înaintea nunţii că este englez, iar în dimineaţa nunţii m-am întâlnit cu ei şi familiile lor.
În dimineaţa acelei zile am fost martorul interacţiunii celor două familii. Bucuria şi nerăbdarea au cuprins ambele tabere, iar comunicarea nonverbală a funcţionat de minune. Apoi au urmat pregătirile miresei. În timpul şedinţei de make-up am avut timpul necesar pentru a evidenţia frumuseţea Cristinei. Nu-i aşa ca aţi putea spune ca există ceva spirit englezesc în privirea ei?
Denisa a fost sprijinul emoţional şi logistic al zilei. Mulţumesc Denisa!
Cununia religioasă a fost specială prin caracterul ei bilingv. Sper sa fi fost placută pentru invitaţii englezi. Este prima mea participare la o ceremonie religioasă ortodoxă susţinută atât în limba română cât şi în imba engleză. Aş fi vrut mai mult timp pentru şedinţele foto, dar sunt încântat de rezultate.
A urmat petrecerea la Casa Capşa –unul dintre locurile emblematice ale Bucureştiului. Construită in 1852, Casa Capşa este un simbol al înaltei societăţi româneşti. Casa Capşa şi-a păstrat farmecul epocii trecute si după restaurări. Este o locaţie somptuoasă cu candelabre din cristal si mobilă barocă. Petrecerea a debutat cu dansuri populare autentice. La dans au participat si membrii familiei Day. Ionela şi colegii ei s-au descurcat de minune în iniţierea nopţii de dans şi voie bună. Am fost plăcut surprins de disponibilitatea cu care invitaţii lui Andrew s-au integrat în dansurile populare româneşti. Cristina, Denisa şi Costi au fost în prima linie a luptei pe ringul de dans. Spre final membrii celor două civilizaţii erau într-o simbioză perfectă.
M-am simţit minunat alături de ei. Felicitari!

Sub miinile olarului,lutul ia forme si prinde viata…….sub miinile fotografului,acesti minunati copiii,nu au prins forma – ei erau deja formati,nu au prins viata – erau deja vii, dar au daruit tuturor celor din jurul lor,un strop din fericirea lor,au radiat zimbete si energie……..Cristinica,Andrew si Eugen,va multumesc pentru tot ce ne-ati daruit in aceasta zi minunata!!!!!!!!

What amazing words Eugen, you have summed up the day perfectly!
We were all pleasantly surprised that the ceremony was also in English, and what a gorgeous church! All in all it was amazing and you captured it perfectly – although I wish you hadn’t captured some of it!!
Both Cristina and Andrew looked fantastic that day (as always though!) and your photos above show how true that statement is!
Thank you for these memories, I was lucky to be part of their special day.

Dragii mei,
Am fost fericita sa impartasesc cu voi bucuria unei zile splendide si pastrez regretul de a nu fi fost alaturi de voi in acea seara care s-a dovedit a fi fost incununarea unei fericiri totale.
Felicitari tuturor celor care au facut posibile toate acestea.
Fie ca bucuria de a trai,de a sti sa fii fericit si sa-i faci si pe altii sa fie fericiti ,de a sti sa-ti atingi scopul, sa faca totul posibil.
